Urano Palma cast aluminum sculpture

This rare cast aluminium sculpture is typical of the distinctive practice of multidisciplinary Italian artist and designer Urano Palma (1939-2010). A figure of the Avant Garde, his sculptures cross the boundaries between art and furniture, creating illusions of size, dimension and disintegration. Anchored in the loose form of a chair, the work was made by pouring molten aluminium into a mould and then cooling the metal until hardened.

The piece is signed and in good condition, with a crack repaired at the back.
