Svenskt Tenn Funkis tin coffee set

A rare example of early Swedish Funkis design, this tin coffee set combines utilitarian clarity with the pared-back elegance characteristic of interwar Scandinavian modernism. Produced by Nordiska Juvelaktiebolaget for Svenskt Tenn in 1933, the set is defined by its distilled cylindrical forms and understated detailing. The tin surface carries a soft, time-worn patina that enhances its character.

Nordiska Juvelaktiebolaget was an important producer of pewter objects for Svenskt Tenn during the 1920s and 1930s, often with stamps combining both names. This set is stamped with Svenskt Tenn on the underside.
