Salvino Marsura Orbita dining table

The Orbita by Salvino Marsura captures much of what defines his forge — a balance in structure and lightness.

The table base is architectural and minimal. Vertical rods are interrupted by a single diagonal ellipse, creating an intuitive rhythm of lines. The glass hovers lightly above, allowing the craftsmanship below to remain fully visible. This unique piece anchors the room whilst drawing us into its orbit.

The table base is in good condition, featuring patination true to its age. This piece comes with a new oval glass top.

Salvino Marsura (1938-2020) was an artisan metalworker. After learning his craft in the dynamic workshop of sculptor and ‘iron poet’ Toni Benetton, he spent more than 60 years producing sculpture, furniture, objects and memorials in his hometown of Treviso, Italy.

Marsura’s ironwork art and furniture relishes in the manual aesthetic of the forge, giving voice to the raw metal and the processes of its manipulation including sweltering heat, hammering, bending and welding. His distinctive hand marries elements of brutalism and traditional decorative arts.
