British sculptor Reg Butler (1912-1981) studied and later taught at the Architectural Association, before his triumph in a world-wide sculpture competition set by the Institute of Contemporary Arts significantly raised his profile. This evocative study, stamped with the artist’s monogram and numbered 7/8, is mounted on a cuboid bronze plinth.
In great vintage condition, with no scratches or chips.
