A limited edition, hand-woven rug from Chevalier Édition by the French artist Philippe Cazal (1948-present). Cazal’s work, which is owned by the Pompidou Centre among other collections, explores the power of the written word, especially how typography is used in the language of advertising and logo creation. In this rug, the letters of the word ‘trouble’ are playfully scattered in black on beige, recalling the graphic boldness of early Bauhaus design. The rug has been signed, titled, numbered and dated by Chevalier Édition and is in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of use.
