The output of the late Ingo Maurer (1932 – 2019) is distinctive in form and concept. The founder of design company Design M in Munich, he designed intriguing lighting for over 40 years. A desire to innovate with materials, processes and aesthetics has led to some highly eccentric works.
This large table lamp was designed by Wilhelm Zanoth and Maurer together in 1974. The lamp’s base and shade are covered in a distressed micro velvet upholstery. Its minimalist cylindrical base, conical shade, natural facade and unusually large size make it highly individual and sought after.
The lamps have some scuffing to the rim. They have been recently rewired and PAT tested. Option to purchase just one lamp.
