Pair of Art Deco armchairs

A pair of inviting Art Deco armchairs, with a low platform base and generous deep seat. The distinctive square frame, which emerged in Art Deco movements across Europe in the 1920s, finds kinship in designs of the period from France and the Czech Republic. The curved wooden armrests have an elegant projection, while the frame forms a simple square behind the supportive back.

The armchairs have been restored and newly reupholstered in a vintage-style recycled linen.
