This Swedish bookcase from the 18th century is made of painted wood, with engraved floral motifs and gilt details. The surface has acquired a particularly pleasing wear over time, with the aged paint and patina adding depth to the piece.
Its symmetrical façade is defined by two pairs of Doric columns, supporting a straight pediment above. Its substantial proportions give the piece a strong presence, while its neoclassical form lends itself naturally to both traditional or contemporary interiors.
