Maarten Van Severen MVS LC95 chair

From his beginnings as an architect, Maarten Van Severen is interested in investigating questions of shape, material and construction. The unified process of design and production is noticeable in his MVS LC95 low chair. Making aluminum his hallmark, Maarten Van Severen never stopped questioning the material, twisting it and reforming it until his death in 2005. Designed in 1993, MVS LC95 chair is a statement piece. Today we can see his legacy in the designs of his son, Hannes, part of vibrant design duo Muller Van Severen.

Aluminum seat, with sanded and natural wax finish. It can be used as an indoor or outdoor seat. Good with moderate usage – marks and scratches to the surfaces.
