Two sleek modernist forms interact in space, each declaring different materials and patination – one a compressed triangle, the other a torus. The forms are understated and organic, like sea-eroded pebbles, which is counterpoised by a sexual dynamic and the implication of penetration and envelopment. It is a freestanding sculpture which also responds to viewing in the frontal plane – it could function either as a centrepiece or positioned laterally on a shelf.
In good vintage condition. The sculpture has maintained a small chip to the tip of the granite and some chips to the paint of the base.
