Cast aluminium side table

Deceptively lightweight, this cast aluminium side table evokes the industrial form of a piston or hydraulic press. Made by pouring molten aluminium into a mould and then cooling the metal until hardened, it is manufactured as a single solid piece.

The natural patina has produced a lovely speckling effect on the surface of the circular top and sculptural base, which provides a sturdy anchor. Some light weathering, scuffs and scratches to the surface.
