Art Deco chalk painted chest of drawers

This solid wood chest of drawers has a fanned base and wooden bar handles that feel generous in the hand. It’s been refreshed with a chalk paint finish, while the interiors of the three deep drawers reveal the original material. This versatile piece predates the widespread use of veneers.

There is some light age-related marking, including a split and small missing knot at the back of the cabinet.
