Made to order by Archive for Space, Mirror 001 treats stainless steel with fabric-like fluidity. Rolled hems allow the mirror to be hung on two slim wires, trading the stiffness of metal for a sense of weightlessness and gentle movement. Steel was selected for its purity and capacity to be polished to a high mirror finish, retaining a feeling of solidness.
The mirror is available in portrait and landscape hanging modes and can facilitate suspension from wall or ceiling. Four sizes are available, with custom sizes produced upon request. A two metre cable is supplied as standard, with other lengths available. Professional installation is recommended due to the weight of the piece.
Each piece is handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Lead time: 8-10 weeks.

Archive for Space is the design studio of Arabella Maza and Stephen Maginn, based in London and southern Spain. Untethered by rigid discipline, the studio works across architecture, interiors, installations, industrial and set design, as well as music and generative art. Each project is approached through their distinctive lens, which draws on an extensive archive of references and practices. The studio also leads a design unit at The University of Cardiff entitled Archiving Space. They first met while working on a diverse range of projects at the late Sir Terence Conran’s architecture, interior design and product design studio, Conran and Partners.
