Angelo Mangiarotti Eros dining table

The Eros table’s clean and elegant form is based around Angelo Mangiarotti’s desire to create an impressive table using substantial materials without any joints. Designed in 1970 for Skipper, it is made solely from Carrara marble, in an interlocking system where the weight of the round top is floated like a Polo mint around a conical marble pedestal – a feat of engineering. Mangiarotti’s work as an architect and industrial designer was led by a belief that carefully respecting the material characteristics was imperative to developing a form. 

In great condition as it has been recently re-polished by a stone restorer. There is a minor chip to the underside near the centre which can’t be seen nor does is reduce the table’s structural integrity in any way.
