This rare modular sofa by little-known Italian designer Aldo Davico combines a louche profile typical of the period with technical interest.
Designed for Art & Form, it comprises five distinct elements with integrated backrests, including a corner section. Cushions are attached to the scooped base units and backs with raised straps that slot into horizontal belts – so no falling down the gaps. The workings of this unusual system are exposed across the back and on the end cushions.
Recently reupholstered in a soft textured linen and wool weave. The modules can be reorientated to have a left or a right corner.
