Afra & Tobia Scarpa three-seater Soriana sofa

Winner of the compasso d’oro award in 1970, the Soriana led Italian couple Afra and Tobia Scarpa to instant success. Together in 1968 they designed a three seater cloud-like sofa for low-slung lounging. An original concept, the fully stuffed seat maintains its structure in a metal belts front and back. It then shot to further collectability this decade after appearing in the beautiful homes of famous American interior designers Kelly Wearstler and Nate Berkus.

The three seater sofa is in good vintage condition, upholstered in its original black corduroy velvet fabric. Metal shows some age and patina.
