Afra & Tobia Scarpa Soriana sofa (b)

Winner of the Compasso d’oro award in 1970, the Soriana led Italian couple Afra and Tobia Scarpa to instant success. Together in 1968 they designed a two seater cloud-like sofa for low-slung lounging. An original concept, the fully stuffed seat maintains its structure in a metal belts front and back. It then shot to further collectability this decade after appearing in the beautiful homes of famous American interior designers Kelly Wearstler and Nate Berkus.

The two seater sofa has recently been reupholstered in Dedar Karakorum ivory boucle, in excellent condition, with only some age and patina to the metal.
