Tom Dixon Speed lounge chair

A rare lounge chair by British designer Tom Dixon for Space Design. A delicate braided rope has been systematically woven across its iron frame, a method Dixon employed in various early works. The chair is very comfortable and has a lovely spring to it when sat on.

This design is often found with loose or damaged rope. However, this example is in very good condition for its age showing only minor cosmetic wear across its surfaces. This design can also be found with the seat height lower to the ground often caused by use over time but this one remains set at the originally intended seat height suggesting minimal use.
