Piero Ruggeri metal console tables

A pair of highly distinctive and likely one-of-a-kind engraved console tables signed by Italian artist Piero Ruggeri (1930–2009). 

Curved zinc panels engraved with a linear modernist design are supported by a pedestal-like structure in wood and patinated copper, which is topped with a section of aluminium and finally a travertine surface. One panel is engraved with a split circle design; the other with a rectangular motif. Viewed straight on, the stepped zinc, aluminium and travertine are an artful amalgam. 

Of handmade construction, the consoles speak to fresh interest in decorative metalwork and silver toned design. They are in good vintage condition, with slight signs of ageing to the structure and tops.
