Janni Van Pelt G4A coffee table

Square black steel frame coffee table by Janni van Pelt for Bas van Belt, Netherlands 1958. Made from reinforced glass with delicate cylindrical tapered legs, the table is the height of minimalism in materials and aesthetics.

A functionalism born of the Bauhaus. The model, named G4, was originally produced by Bas Van Pelt. Later editions were made by Metaform. A rare and collectable thing. Excellent condition, only minor surface wear.
