Gert Jan Verhoog wooden sculpture

This lovely architectural sculpture by Dutch artist Gert Jan Verhoog has been precisely sculpted from painted wood. Its body is formed through the stacking of rectangular pieces scaling down in volume from the base to the top, reaching a point of singularity. This work entitled Toren, translating as Tower, has an innate mathematical logic to it. The visible wood grain softens the harsh geometries at play. It is in good original condition, with minor evidence of handling. Hand signed on the underside.
