The Reversible chair was designed by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, an Italian-Austrian duo based in Brazil. They co-founded the company Forma Moveis and worked both together and individually on a large number of designs. This particular design is characterised by a completely loose seat that can be tipped to any angle in its metal frame. This playful feature has a practical underpinning. Sit upright and rest your arms on the seat-come-armrests, or reverse it and sit reclined as if on a chaise.
This chair’s metal frame is in good vintage condition. The seat and back rest have been recently reupholstered in a luxurious earthy olive short pile velvet.
