Angelo Mangiarotti’s (1921 – 2012) work as an architect and industrial designer was led by a belief that carefully respecting a material’s characteristics was imperative to developing a form. The Longobardo dining table is formed of a round glass table top balancing on top of metal base which appears to be in a state of bloom. Mangiarotti respected his own design manifesto to create a quiet harmony between the elements.
Base has a lovely textured patinated finish. Glass has a few surface scratches can be replaced upon request.
