Angelo Mangiarotti Eros coffee table

Angelo Mangiarotti’s work as an architect and industrial designer was led by a belief that carefully respecting a material’s characteristics was imperative to developing a form. The weight of marble, inspired him to create the Eros series of tables, that relies solely on weight and gravity to bond the slabs of marble together without fixings or glues – a masterstroke in minimalist philosophy and engineering.

This coffee table features these ‘gravity’ joins in each corner. The slab of marble sits snugly around each of the solid marble conical legs making it incredibly sturdy. The piece is in good vintage condition with no structural issues. The top surface does show traces of usage such as minor scratches and an acid mark. We can have the surface re-polished on request.
