Luigi Caccia Dominioni was a Milanese architect considered to be a leading pioneer in the field of industrial design. Graduating from Milan’s renowned polytechnic, he made a name for himself in the design world through collaborating with Pier and Giacomo Castiglioni, developing a series of cutting edge radios. In 1947 he co-founded Azucena along with Ignazio Gardella, the LP 10 Bidone wall light is a signature piece from their collection.
The Bidone light is designed so that it can be adjusted across several heights. It can also be wall mounted the other way around if desired. Made from brass and frosted glass, the design is elegant and sleek yet has an understated functional feel. They are very versatile and could be used as bedside lights, in hallways or either side of a sofa. The glass elements are in excellent condition with no scratches or chips whilst the frames and mounting brackets have some patina across their surfaces and show signs of use. We have wired them with 3 pin plugs however, the mounting bracket features a small hole allowing them to be directly wired into the wall. We can re-wire for wall installation on request.
