These rattan easy chairs are often attributed to a design by artist and architect Tito Agnoli (1931-2012). But these slightly more sloping versions of the P3 rattan easy chair which Agnoli produced for Pierantonio Bonacina are thought to have actually been produced by Ikea around the same time, despite most dealers not spotting the difference. The original ones for Pierantonio Bonacina sit more upright.
It is made from a wicker around a tubular steel frame. The key feature here is it’s ergonomic shape that is incredibly comfortable to sit in. It is in good condition with few signs of age.
