Jacques Adnet (1901-1981) was a French architect and interior designer who defined himself as “the champion of a tradition looking into the future.” Often associated with the Art Deco style, Adnet’s commitment to functionalism and his propensity for pared back form also positions his work under the modernist umbrella. In his lifetime, he was considered to be one of France’s foremost avant-garde designers.
