Silvio Coppola began his career in architecture, designing buildings in Baghdad, campuses in Zaire and various housing and hotels in Italy. In his long design career, he worked for Montecatini, Zucchi, Alessi, Cassina and many more.
Coppola designed the ‘330’ chair for Bernini in 1969. Its simple structure is made from stained beech, thick foam padded seat and and aniline leather. Although the design has a strong architectural appearance created by the angular legs, the curved ergonomic backrest means that it is suitable for use as a comfortable dining or desk chair.
