This simply made aged wooden bench from the Pyrenees has bags of patina. The surfaces of the wood show a gnarled and open grain, rich with history. It oozes Wabi Sabi.
Its structural integrity has been reduced over the years so it is perhaps best used as an ornamental or sculptural piece, or for less frequent use than say main dining room seating. It has been re-jointed and made more structurally sound by our restorer. This piece has been treated thermally for woodworm.
