Italian molded plywood ‘Medea’ chairs designed by Vittorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue in 1955. Molded teak wood seats are supported by black enamelled steel legs, accented with brass hardware. A perfect representation of the organic modern style. The natural beauty of the wood grain is accentuated by its sculpted plywood form. First advertised in Domus Issue 329 in April 1955, they have become an iconic piece of mid century design and highly collectible. They come in two pairs. One pair slightly lighter, more matte oil finish. One pair a touch darker with a little more sheen to the oil finish – however they still look good as a set of four.
