Verner Panton Phantom chair

Verner Panton was first an accomplished artist before training in architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Art. His designs were notable for their use of psychedelic colours and innovative forms in new materials.

The Phantom is a piece that can serve many functions – an easy chair, lounge chair, side table or two-seater bench. Made from black polypropylene plastic it is hard to the touch yet offers the user a slight bit of give to provide comfort when in use. It bears the maker’s and designer’s marks. The piece is in good structural condition with some surface scratches and scuffs.
