Born in Italy in 1931, Sergio Mazza was responsible for creating many iconic designs for Artemide the company he cofounded with Ernesto Gismondi. Throughout the 1960s, he developed architectural led lighting, fiberglass moulded seating and other products. As a result of their their clean lines, intuitive utility and limited production runs they have become incredibly collectible.
This ‘Pi’ wall lamp by Mazza for Artemide is constructed in nickel-plated brass, black painted metal and opaline glass. It produces a lovely filtered light through the milk glass shade.
