Roger Tallon (1929-2011) is one of Frances most prolific designers, he is central to the development of industrial design in France. Over his lifetime, he created of over 400 diverse and innovative designs, from one of the earliest portable televisions to the award-winning TGV high-speed train and other models for Eurostar.
The three parts of this seat articulate around metal axes. Once folded, the chair is totally flat: it takes the shape of a smooth wood panel. Allowing the chair to be hung on the wall using a hook, which looks great whilst also saving space.
The original lacquer shows signs of losses, scuffs and discolouration. Folding mechanism in good working order.
