Unique wooden chair designed and hand-built in East London by the British furniture maker Ray McNeill. Simple in form and in construction. It is pegged together using Tusk Tenon joints, allowing for the chair to be dismantled easily. Wood lightened with lyme paste.
McNeill creates his pieces from reclaimed or salvaged materials, with these pieces coming from Althorp, the stately home of the prominent aristocratic Spencer family. The chair is in excellent condition with all its’ original pieces. It is adorned with a plaque on the underside with the maker’s marks and is one of six ever made.
