Set of six Pierre Chapo S28 dining chairs made from solid elmwood, designed in 1972, produced late 20th century with matching extendable round-to-oval dining table.
The S28 was inspired by Chapo’s travels to Alsace. He wanted to reinvent a typical Alsatian folk chair, without its decorative elements.
The back is made of a single piece of wood shaped like a shovel, the legs are angled and tapered. Completely restored and in excellent condition. Two are later production, four are earlier productions with some marginal differences. The T40A table, also in solid elm and beautifully restored comes in a compact D95cm round, but extends to L118cm and a maximum of 220cm.
