The Wendy chair was designed by the prolific French designer Philippe Starck and manufactured by Disform. This is an interesting example of Starck’s design work in the 80’s and demonstrates his quirky post-modern sensibilities. Created from bent tubular metal with a curved seat which is decorated minimally with a series of subtle circular impressions. Its form is refined and plays on simplistic geometries that are carefully balanced to provide a narrow yet comfortable seating solution. The chair is suited to a multitude of uses but would perhaps work best as a balcony chair where space is tight.
The chairs show traces of use and age across their surfaces such as minor scratched and wear to the surface finish.
