Pierre Guariche is often thought as the French Charles Eames: with his lean and angular chairs and sculptural table lamps. He was one of the leading furniture and lighting designers of postwar France.
The Troika slipper chair is emblematic among Guariche designs. This pair are a prime example, reupholstered in soft brown textured wool, with the lesser-seen variant enamelled flat steel legs. Minor surface wear to metal, upholstery, recent, barely used.
