Claudio Salocchi (1934 to 2012) was a highly regarded designer and architect, known for detailed research into furniture layouts. As a result, we see innovative compositions without compromise on function.
This pair of Napoleone chairs by Salocchi have an unusual angular base, splayed leg and triangular backrest all made from black lacquered wood. The seat pads, upholstered in tan leather, are very nicely detailed with a little lip either side. Both chairs have the makers mark on the underside.
They are both in good vintage condition. One has a small loss to the paintwork to the top edge of the backrest and some slight crazing to the lacquer, which is only noticeable when caught in certain light. Good as is, but refinishing for ‘as new’ feel on request.
