Michele de Lucchi attr. chair

This lovely side chair is attributed to the well known Italian designer Michele de Lucchi. He found worldwide recognition with his instantly recognisable ‘First’ chair for Memphis and has since created a wide array other works across furniture, lighting design and art – usually less restrained than seen here. This chair features a distinctive curved armrest that is mimicked on its base.

The chair has recently been re-upholstered in dark olive velvet. The frame is in good vintage condition with minor surface scratches.
