An imposing arched frame in the Biedermeier style that flourished in central Europe in the first half of the 19th century. Its restrained ornamentation is typical of the movement, which heralded Art Deco in geometric forms and simplified classic motifs. A circular detail at the crown is reiterated in demilune shapes that emerge from two horizontal bars.
