Architecture graduate Robert Guillerme and painter Jacques Chambron met as prisoners of war in East Prussia, 1940, bonding over their love of design. In 1949, the pair joined master cabinetmaker Émile Dariosecq to form Votre Maison. Guillerme and Chambron represented quality craftsmanship with a unique visual language. They made pieces for across the home, from large statement dressers and sideboards to smaller elements, such as plinths, shelving units, benches and lights.
These sconces are made from ebonised hardwood. A playful halo above the bulb is accented by a dark-green glazed ceramic bowl below. Both lights are in very good condition. Rewired and PAT tested for the UK, can be rewired for other countries on request.
