Marc Held is a self-taught designer and architect who spent the majority of his career in Paris, now based in Greece. His adventurous work has spanned fibreglass furniture, large industrial buildings, vehicles, ski suits and spoons.
This fibreglass bed bears a lot of resemblance to his innovate bed design created in 1966 for Prisunic. Like that one, this aerodynamic futurist bed is created from white-dyed moulded fiberglass, using what looks like the same mould, hence we believe it is also by him. The bed has two sections that sit together to house a double mattress. The elevated headrest features two small recessed compartments allowing the user to store items within them. This bed is in excellent condition as we have had the surfaces professional refinished to restore its original fresh white colour.
