Étienne Fermigier was the king of curves and undulations. He experimented, like pioneer Pierre Paulin before him, with new foam technology and metal construction to achieve new forms that were sinuous and organic. Fermigier was a self-starter, opening his own design practice the year he graduated in 1957, but his promising career was cut short in a car accident in 1973.
This wavy chair, attributed to him, has an ergonomic and enveloping seat. It has been re- upholstered in beautiful sage Kirkby Design’s Rest FR, a lush 100% natural mohair long pile velvet from luxury fabric house Pierre Frey. Some wear to original rubber ball feet.
