Ernesto Gismondi Sintesi wall lights

Sleek lines and industrial curves, the lights are constructed from coated steel and aluminium. The Sintesi series, designed by Ernesto Gismondi (1931-2020) are a beautiful example of the high-quality production he so prioritised in his practice.

Gismondi founded Artemide in 1960 which to this day produces some of the most innovative and interesting lighting to come from Italy. The Sintesi was well ahead of its time and despite predating postmodernism bears seminal characteristics of the movement. A close friend of Ettore Sottsass, Gismondi provided the capital to get the Memphis Milano collective off the ground and into production and remains a major shareholder.

Recently rewired and PAT tested to UK standards. The lights are in good condition with some light signs of age to the surface. Six available.
