An extremely rare multidirectional lighting suspension produced by British lighting company Maclamp. Constructed from aluminium the design of the three articulated hoods are in classic 1950s atomic style. The hoods can be pointed in any direction. The relatively short drop from the ceiling means it still works well in rooms with a lower ceiling height.
GA Scott designed several different versions all with the same striking hood. Commonly seen as a desk lamp and occasionally as a floor standing lamp. This is the first time we have ever seen the ceiling fixture, a rare and elegant piece.
The lamp is in good condition with a couple of very small dents and age related usage marks. Please refer to the images. The lamp has been recently rewired and takes B22 bayonet bulbs.
Drop from ceiling to where the hoods connect: 24cm
Dia of hood: 11cm
Length of hood:25cm
