This cute curved reupholstered sofa really has a load of playfulness to it. Sat on four tapered wooden legs and featuring an exaggerated curved back rest, it beautifully distils key aesthetics featured within 1950’s Italian design.
The design is attributed to Cesare Lacca. The late Italian architect was a pivotal player in introducing new and exciting modernist shapes to the somewhat conservative Italian tastes of the time. The details of his life remain a mystery however, his innovative work speaks for itself and is highly collected. Our sofa has, since being photographed, been reupholstered in a similar fabric and had its legs restored.
