An early plywood desk on splayed legs. Although part of the birch series this is a rare edition with teak top and drawer fronts. Braakman was the head designer at UMS Pastoe, one of the largest and most respected Dutch modernist furniture manufacturers of the era. The drawers have Braakman’s trademark bent ply interiors. An ingenious design feature to prevent objects and dust from getting stuck in the corners. A recessed shelf is present at the rear of the desk allowing for extra storage.
