Carlo Nason is a renowned Italian glassblower and designer, based in Murano – considered to be the world’s epicentre for artisan glass. Nason was born into one of Murano’s oldest glass making families, affording him unique exposure to processes and methods from an early age. He soon grew a reputation for being the most ‘cutting edge’ glassmaker on the island. Driven to push glass to its boundaries, he builds on traditional methods to create futuristic forms.
This rare wall hung mirror with shelf is made from organic streaks of green glass set within a clear glass curvilinear form. As you get closer to its surfaces you are able to see tiny imperfections in the glass such as bubbles and folds that decorate its surfaces in a truly beautiful way. The shelf and mirror are both hung via concealed screws. In excellent condition.
