A rare hand blown glass vase in a dark amphora silhouette, with beautiful speckling by Cimbro Bormioli (1880-1961) for S.A.V. Like Murano glass, Altare was the alternate home to Italian glassmaking. And even when Societa Artistico Vetraria was expanding its factory produced glass, it still championed traditional glass making from master glass blowers the Cimbro brothers and Costantino Bormioli.
Good condition, no chips. Minor defects from the original production process.
