This easy chair designed by Dutch designer WH Gispen for Kembo, is a sleek oval design on an industrial steel frame. Reupholstered in hand printed mint/sage linen, the chair is exceptionally comfortable, the back pad perfectly supporting the lumbar spine.
Kembo, which stood for Kom Eerst Maar Bij Ons – meaning “Come to us first”, was started in the early 1950s and produced a lot of ergonomic steel framed pieces. WH Gispen was one of the founders and chief designers. This example of his design is in excellent condition, only minor superficial age wear to the frame.
